Yomi Fabiyi breaks down during mother's burial

Photos from the burial ceremony show the Nollywood actor beside himself with grief at the lavish event which took place at the Ikoyi Gardens and Vault, Ikoyi, Lagos State.

Yomi Fabiyi was a bundle of nerves and tears at his mother, Folawe Adijatu Kuburat’s burial which took place last week at the Ikoyi Gardens and Vault, Ikoyi, Lagos State.

Photos from the burial ceremony show the Nollywood actor beside himself with grief at the lavish event.

One of the photos show him breaking down in tears as his mother was laid to rest.

You will recall that Fabiyi lost his mother last year while he was on a trip to the United Kingdom.

 

Fabiyi revealed that it had been difficult for him to pay tribute to his mother during the burial itself because he had wept at every point during the event.

 

In a tribute he finally shared via social media after the burial since he was unable to voice it out at the burial, Fabiyi wrote:

“I can’t even imagine saying goodbye to you mom, but you and I know I will never forget you…”

Today, Sunday, March 11, 2018, being mother's day, Fabiyi shared a post via his Instagram page, celebrating her for who she was.

Yomi Fabiyi loses mom - Read his touching message to her

As you know by now, Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, lost his mom on January 11, 2018.

He made the startling revelation via a post he shared on social media. Mourning her loss, he wrote:

"When God says no one will see him, I take it that he meant we should see him through our MOTHERS. You are my small-God and the most loyal being.

 

"Mum, I was told be you passed on, you requested for your church members to come and pray for you and you left in your quiet but peaceful sleep while everyone was also around you. Your son, grand-children and friends.

"Just past 12 yesternight I was speaking about mothers to few women where I was and how great I value mothers and virtuous women, what a sign. You lived a good life mum, we lived all my life together. In all honesty, you can pass for a sinless being. Go and rest mum.

"Still in shock ???? BLACK FRIDAY. One of the days I will never forget. There is however room for praise to you God. Aluta Continua.
