Anthony Joshua: Boxer says he is ready for Wilder after beating Parker in 12-round bout

Anthony Joshua

Joshua and Wilder have been going at each since 2017 ahead of a potential unification bout.

Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has challenged American boxer, Deontay Wilder, saying he is ready for the fight after his win over Joseph Parker

Joshua and Wilder have been going at each since 2017 setting up what will be a very much anticipated unification bout.

Following his win over Parker via unanimous decision on Saturday, March 31, Joshua said he will knock Wilder out if or when they clash.

IBO, WBO, WBA, IBF. I'm not into the hype, let's get the business done. Let's see what the future holds, I'm down for whatever, whenever,” the 28-year-old said following his win over Joseph Parker in front of 78, 000 capacity crowd at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

With the win, the boxer of Nigerian descent has now added the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) belt to his International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Association (WBA) .

Joshua ready for Wilder and Fury

His target is now to get the World Boxing Council (WBC) which Wilder now holds or a fight against fellow Brit Tyson Fury.

Wilder let's go, baby, let's go! I want Wilder. Or Fury. Get him [Wilder] in the ring and I'll knock him spark out,” Joshua added.

There have been suggestions that the fight against Wilder will be in America to help in the crossover of Joshua who is still largely unknown there but the Brit says he is not interested.

All these years, the UK fighters have had to go to America, everyone had to spend a heap of money to go to Vegas. We can do it in London around Wembley, Cardiff. It’s local. We’re staying right here. We’re staying right here,” Joshua is quoted to say by Badlefthook.
