The groups including the Youth Council of Nigeria (YCN), Oruk Anam chapter, Dakkada Youths, Christian Youths and Village Youths from the area said Akpan should perish his third term agenda.
The youths led by the former secretary of the local government and YCN chapter chairman, Mr. Imoh Udo stated their position on Monday after a closed meeting at Ekparakwa.
Udo warned Akpan who is the leader of the state house of assembly to dump his third term ambition, saying “It is only cheating but injustice, broad day robbery and manipulation of people in high places”.

The youths frowned at what they described as political monopoly aimed at oppressing the “Oruk” people who are the majority by the one person who want to perpetuate himself in power to the detriment of Oruk people and promised to defend PDP in her effort to keep to zoning so that one man would not have any reason to repeat himself in one office against the wish of the people.
The youths further commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for citing the Navy Secondary School in Ekparakwa, Orukanam and also gave kudos to the Chairman of Orukanam Local Government Council Prince Ubong Idiong whom they described as “The Youths Field Marshall” of Orukanam politics.
In his response, Mr. Aniekan Sunday William described Governor Udom Emmanuel as a reliable in-law of Orukanam people who will not superintend over cheating, oppression and injustice against his in-laws.
Mr. William who was former chairman of the youths council in Orukanam recalled that he had mobilized youths in the area for past government in the state to win election and appreciated the youths for choosing him to represent them in the State House of Assembly in 2019.
William who had worked with different tax consultants in Akwa Ibom further said that his peaceful disposition will ensure that no blood will be shed in Orukanam during the party primaries and general election as he had mobilized the youths for Udom in the hope that governor will not let anybody down.
He warned those politicians who were nursing third term ambition to dump it as such ambition was not only cheating but injustice, broad day robbery and manipulated of people in high places.
William appreciated PDP for keeping the zoning formula to maintained peace and stability in the party as necessary weapon to grab power at the center in 2019.
