Police arraign two women for ‘pouring faeces on each other’

The police have arraigned Rebecca Olatunji, 42 and Sabena Ugwuokembah, 49, at a Karmo Grade I Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly pouring faeces on each other.

The two women, who live at old Karmo, Abuja, are charged with disturbing the peace and constituting public nuisance.

Police prosecutor Zannan Dalhatu told the court that Olatunji reported the matter at Karmo Police Station on March 9.

According to Dalhatu, Olatunji alleged that Ugwuokembah, her neigbour, poured human faeces on her and on her window.

The prosecutor said after investigation, it was discovered that the two women fought and they poured faeces on each other.

Dalhatu said the offence contravened Section 198 of the Penal Code.

The defendants pleaded not guilty.

The judge, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, granted the accused bail at N10,000 with one surety each.

He adjourned the case till April 25 for hearing.
