With the weekend comes new music. Pulse staff picks the top 10 songs across genres in Nigeria for the weekend

The weekend presents a great time to discover new music, Pulse Music have put together our top 10 pick for this week.

1. Ayuba Tete ft OverDose and Pherowshuz - 'Ba Wasa' remix

 

Ayuba Tete popularly known has A.T has been in the game since the mid 2000‘.

He stages a comeback with 'Ba wasa' remix which features two rap veterans in Pherowshuz and OverDose dropping bars on a Job Beliion beat.

2. Akiin Shuga - 'I can walk'

 

Foremost band leader of the Shuga Band and National Rotary Polio Ambassador, Akiin Shuga and sensational music producer, Cobhams are out with an inspirational hit single titled ‘I Can Walk’.

Akiin who suffered polio at the age of five rose above his disability to found Nigeria’s leading band, become a husband, father and polio ambassador, and many things to different people.

Known to be a source of inspiration, Akiin embodies the saying ‘there is ability in every disability’ and with his new song, he hopes to bring hope to as many lives as he can touch.

3. Yano - Reconnect

 

A year after dropping his debut single 'Free Yourself', Ali Musa Danatala releases his follow up single titled “Reconnect”, Reconnect is a song about reconnecting with old flames.

“Reconnect” was recorded in Lagos and produced by Phantom.

4  Rueben Rane - Playing Games

 

Reuben "Rane" Abel is a songwriter and rapper from Minna, Niger State.

He began songwriting at the age of 15 and has been spawning creative tunes since then.

Playing Games, with production from Sh3ksy, is his attempt to tell a rocky love story using video game metaphors.

Currently, he resides in Abuja where he designs for a tech company. He is also working on his debut full project.

5. Pauli B - Cant Kill Myself

 

Fast rising singer Pauli-B is not resting on her oars as she releases her 2018 debut single titled 'CAN'T KILL MYSELF' produced by Dr. Rad.

The 21 year-old Law student at the University of Toronto who recently had her first headline concert in Ontario, Canada is poised to further expand the acceptance and popularity of African music in the North American continent.

6. Alpha - Ludo

 

Underground rapper Alpha whose real name is Ebuka Alex Ojini-Ntamere came into a lot of people's consciousness following his response to M.I's 'YRSFUYL' single.

But Alpha has been in the game for a while with his first project released in 2010. He makes a return with a new joint tilted 'Ludo' as he seeks to shake the Nigerian music scene like a dice in the traditional game.
