Nigeria’s women’s U-20, the Falconets kicked off their 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup with a 0-1 loss to Germany in France.
After a goalless first half, the Falconets conceded in the 69th minute when Stefanie Saunders netted for Germany.
Nigeria tried to respond quickly but a b effort hit the bar.
The Falconets will now face Haiti on Thursday, August 9 in a must-win game before their final group clash against China on Monday, August 13.
