Davido, Wizkid: Watch how Pop stars shut down concert performances in Namibia and New York

Wizkid and Davido deliver stunning performances as headline acts in Windhoek, Namibia and New York over the weekend.

It was a weekend of festivals and concerts with Davido and Wizkid headlining events around the world.

Saturday, August 11, the MTC 081Every1 Fest which took place at the Dr Sam Nujoma Stadium, Windhoek in Namibia saw a crowd of about 15,000 in attendance with Nigeria's Davido on the bill.

Davido was the headline act on the night and his entrance on stage was one that sent the crowd into a wild frenzy.

Opening his set with Dami Duro, Davido had the crowd sing along to every lyrics of his songs as he rendered more of his greatest hits including 'Aye', 'If' , 'Fia' and 'Assurance'.

 

Davido was also mobbed by the fans as he jumped into the crowd during his performance set with his live band.

The event also witnessed Davido giving out most of his clothing items to the excited fans.

Wizkid shuts down One Africa Music Festival

Wizkid, who opened his pop-up store in New York earlier in the day, joined a host of African superstars which includes, Wande Coal, NiniolaSkales, Cassper Nyovest, Flavour, Sarkodie, and Jamaican dance-hall act Kranium for the New York leg of the One Africa Music Fest on Saturday night, August 11th.

Wizkid's performance was the highlight of the event as he ran through tracks from his rich catalog of hits like, 'Pakurumo','Don't Dull''Baba Nla''Ojuelegba', 'Soco', 'Manya' 'Fake Love' , 'Nowo' and more, never missing a step.

He also brought out Afro B on stage as they performed the smashing single, 'Joanna' remix.

 

His energy was on point as he moved from one end of the stage to the other, rocking some 'Shaku Shaku' moves and engaging the crowd as he delivered some of his favourite anthems.

The weekend offered fun moments and the duo of Wizkid and Davido ensured that the Afrobeats movement further spread its message to the ever growing audience.
