Francis Uzoho: Super Eagles goalkeeper unveiled by Elche
Francis Uzoho is officially an Elche player after passing a medical and presented to the club's supporters.
Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has been unveiled by Spanish second division side Elche on Wednesday, August 29.
The 19-year-old shot-stopper earlier completed a move to Elche FC from RC Deportivo de La Coruña.
The LaLiga 1 | 2 | 3 outfit have finally unveiled the goalkeeper after he completed his medicals.
Uzoho has been training with Elche during the week and after several training sessions with his new teammates, the club unveiled him after a photo session.
The first choice shot-stopper for the Super Eagles has finally been presented at the press conference to the supporters of the club and the media professionals.
In his press conference Uzoho stated that he is delighted with the move and aims to work hard and improve.
Uzoho's message on the club's official website is to try and give his best as he knows the club has high expectations of him.
He said, “I am very happy to be here, a lot of Elche!.
"My dream is to be better every time, I come to work and learn.
"I am going to try to give the best of me, I have high expectations with the team .”
Uzoho’s move from Deportivo Fabril should see him feature regularly in the Spanish second division.
The goalkeeper who was the youngest to participate at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia will aim to make his debut when Elche host Reus on Saturday, September 1.
