Jamilu Collins is among the new names called up by Gernot Rohr for the Super Eagles of Nigeria upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Seychelles, here are five things to know about him.

1. Jamilu Collins is 24-years-old
Born in Kaduna State, Nigeria on August 5, 1994, Jamilu Collins is still 24-years-old.
2. Jamilu's previous clubs
Jamilu has been on the constant move across several club sides in Europe but he began his development with Abuja Football College Academy.
From his academy, he moved to Croatian side HNK Rijeka in 2012 but has been loaned out severally to continue his development.
In 2013 he was loaned out to fellow Croatian club NK Pomorac 192, he spent the 2014 season at the HNK Rijeka second team side.
In 2015 he was loaned out to Slovenian side NK Krka and from there Croatian first division side NK Istra 1961.
His last loan spell was to HNK Å ibenik in 2016 and afterwards, he became a free agent a joined German third division side SC Paderborn 07 where he currently turns out for.
3. Jamilu and Nigeria
Jamilu was born and raised in Nigeria and like fellow new invitee Samuel Kalu, he has not featured for the Nigerian team at youth levels.
The Nigerian defender has been a suggestion on the names of football-loving Nigerians buts never earned a recall to the Super Eagles due to his constant movement across teams in Europe.
4. Jamilu’s style of play
Jamilu is a defender who plays as a left-back but can also occupy the centre of defence or further forward on the left wing if required.
With youth and pace, Jamilu is brought in as a replacement for Elderson Echiejile and also to provide competition for Torino defender Ola Aina.
Jamilu draws a comparison with former Super Eagles left back Taye Taiwo but time will tell if he can replicate his performances in the third tier of German football with the Super Eagles.
5. Jamilu personal life and awards
Jamilu has no trophies on the international scene as he had made no appearances for Nigeria at youth level and senior level.
Despite his several loan spells across different countries in Europe he is yet to win any trophy and will hope his recent move and inclusion in the Super Eagle changes that.
Jamili is expected to make his debut for the Super Eagles in the friendly against Saudi Arabia.
