JayPizzle, producer of the hit single, 'Wait' by DJ Neptune featuring Kiss Daniel speaks on how he created the beat.
Jay Pizzle, the man behind DJ Neptune's hit single, 'Wait' which features Kiss Daniel says he knew the song was going to be huge the moment it was recorded.
Born Joshua Chuks Osajiokwoeh, the beat-maker better known as Jay Pizzle started music production five years ago.
During an exclusive interview with Pulse, he speaks on working with Kiss Daniel, his journey so far including the step by step process of how he created the instrumental.
On how he went into production
According to him, ''I started music professionally in 2013, when I produced the monster hit ‘Run Mad’ by Terry G, Even though the first song I ever produced was with DJ Kentalky on 'Booty Chemistry'.
But my first major moment as a solo producer was when I started working with Terry G, and we produced songs like 'Connect' and 'Street'.
Speaking on what inspired him into taking into production, ''My dad was a Pastor, so I always had to attend church services, along the line, I became a member of the church choir and this made me fall in love with the music as I got to sing and learn the instrumentals also.''
Highlighting the songs he has produced in his five years journey, he states,
''Like I said, I produced 'Run Mad' by Terry G, 'Shake Body' by Skales, Patoranking's 'Make Am', 'Say Baba' - CDQ, 'Slay Mama' by DJ Xclusive Ft Reminisce and recently,'Wait' by DJ Neptune Ft Kiss Daniel and more I can't even remember now.''
He identifies Skales's 'Shake Body' as the song that gave him his biggest break, saying it was after this song that more people came around to working with him.
On producing 'Wait' for DJ Neptune featuring Kiss Daniel
''It was CDQ that contacted me, they wanted a dance beat for the song they were recording and even though they had another beat already, they wanted something better, so CDQ called me and I went to the house, met Kiss Daniel and in less than two hours, we had recorded the song.
I also added my voice into the production to give it a unique feel, fusing a bit of the South African 'Gwara Gwara' to give it that dance vibe.
Jay Pizzle says his best is yet to come as he still has so much to offer in the game.
