Mercy Aigbe: Actress' estranged husband says he owns her and their son

Lanre Gentry has insisted that Mercy Aigbe and son, Juwon are both his property and they are still married legally.

Mercy Aigbe's estranged husband, Lanre Gentry, has said that the Nollywood actress and her son, Juwon are his property.

Gentry made this statement in a chat with Punch when asked about his current relationship with the actress after the two parted ways over alleged marital abuse.

Speaking on Aigbe's Instagram post on Father's Day, Gentry simply replied, "Mercy and Juwon are my property."

When queried about reuniting with Aigbe after the actress moved out of their matrimonial home, Gentry said he's waiting to hear from the actress as regards dissolving their marriage legally because they are still married according to the Nigerian marital laws.

“I have no plans to do that for now because I am still legally married to Mercy but time will tell. I am waiting to hear from her (as regards dissolving the marriage legally)."

Continuing, Gentry said, “I am not angry with her and we are not fighting. We are together and we will always talk.”

Mercy Aigbe's ex husband sends stepdaughter birthday message

Lanre Gentry  to time out to wish the daughter of his estranged wife, Mercy Aigbe a happy birthday as she turns a year older.

The businessman took to his Instagram page on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, where he posted photos of the celebrant, Michelle and celebrated her.

"Daughter❤time seems to have flown by. Just the other day you could barely stand, and now I get to watch you run the world! Watching you grow up has been such a joy, and I know that only greatness lies ahead for you. May your birthday be just as spectacular as you are. Happy birthday            @michelleio__" he wrote.

 

Even though Mercy Aigbe and Lanre Gentry no longer live together with their kids because of their differences, Lanre is sure trying to remain present in the lives of his kids. Recall that during the last Father's day, he celebrated himself saying that he is a responsible dad.
