Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr has recalled Galatasaray striker Henry Onyekuru as he retained most of his 2018 FIFA World Cup squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Seychelles.

Nigeria travel to  Seychelles for Matchday 2 of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.

Rohr at a press conference in Lagos on Friday, August 24 announced his 23-man squad for the game with a recall for Galatasaray striker Onyekuru.

Onyekuru has been out with injury since Super Eagles 1-1 away draw at Algeria in November 2017 and miss the 2018 World Cup.

Without Mikel John Obi who has opted out of the game to properly recover from injury and Victor Moses who has quit the Super Eagles, Rohr gave a first time call-up to Rotherham United defender Semi Ajayi, Samuel Kalu who plays in France for Bordeaux and Jaminu Collins.

For the goalkeepers, Super Eagles boss has stuck with his three World Cup goalkeepers, Francis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi.
