Barbra Streisand talks about too many issues in the US in "Don't Lie to Me"

Governance in the US and a society in disarray appear to be the major themes of a song that those concerned might not be so eager to dance to.

It sounded like a fairytale interlude in a Disney movie and then pop when Barbra Streisand talked about so many issues concerning leadership in the United States of America. She lets it all out in a new video "Don't Lie to Me".

The clip dropped yesterday all over the globe. According to reports, the  self-directed video is part of promotion for her forthcoming album, "Walls" expected to drop on November 2 under Columbia Records.

"How do you sleep when the world keeps turning? All that we built has come undone. How do you sleep when the world is burning?

"Everyone answers to someone. Don't lie to me," reads lines from the music video. The pop legend illustrates her lyrics with images matching the idea of the song.

For example, in the part where she talked about a burning world, it seemed an attempt to address environmental issues.

The US president Donald Trump appeared the recurring subject as images of him spread throughout the 4-minute long video.

“They’re very troubling times. The leader of the free world doesn’t seem to care much about truth, and he’s chipping away at the pillars of democracy, like freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press.

"I believe in the power of the truth, and I can’t stand being lied to," a vocal Barbra Streisand talks about the political relevance of 'Don't lie to me' with Time. On the song she is revealed as taking a stand against Trump.
