Aubameyang, Martial lead nominees for Player of the Month award
Here are the stand out players and managers short-listed for awards in the month of October.
Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Manchester United forward Anthony Martial lead the nominees for the October Premier League Player of the Month award announced on Friday, November 2.
The nominees include Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson, Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley, Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho and Mat Ryan of Brighton and Hove Albion.
Martial is favourite to lift the award after his amazing return to form for Manchester United when he looked to be on the exit from Old Trafford.
Manager of the Month award
The nominees for the Manager of the Month award were also announced as four managers aim to displace Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito who won the award for the month of September.
Nominees for the month of October are Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri who are still unbeaten this season both have two wins and one draw in the month.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe and Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton are the other two nominees as they recorded three wins in the month, with the Cherries also recorded a draw in one other fixture.
Goal of the month
There are seven nominees for the Carling Goal of the Month award for October.
In September Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge was crowned the winner, it will be contested this month by
Ricardo Pereira of Leicester City, Gylfi Sigurdsson of Everton, Manchester City new recruit Riyad Mahrez and Roberto Pereyra of Watford.
Other nominees are Arsenal duo of Aaron Ramsey, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Fulham forward Andre Schurrle and rejuvenated Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.
