Game of Thrones characters unite to fight common enemy in meticulous last season

There is an intensity about the final season of the Game of Thrones that is beyond the television screen. The staff of the show are working hard to ensure a perfect ending.

The characters in HBO's series Game of Thrones are going to unite to fight a common enemy in the 8th season of the show. On set the staff are paying attention to every detail as they hope to end the show on a high note.

Co-executive producer Bryan Cogman told Entertainment Weekly (EW) that the final scenes captures the emotion anticipated before the series began.

“It’s about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death.

“It’s an incredibly emotional haunting bittersweet final season and I think it honors very much what [author George R.R. Martin] set out to do — which is flipping this kind of story on its head.”

On set, actors Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington have noticed an interest to get things done perfectly in the staff of the show.

They both appear on the cover of Entertainment Weekly magazine having endured a 10-month shoot that produced just six episodes.

“[Camera] checks take longer, costumes are a bit better, hair and makeup a bit sharper — every choice, every conversation, every attitude, has this air of ‘this is it.’ Everything feels more intense," Clarke opens up to EW.

The audience are expecting more clarity in her suspenseful relationship with Kit Harington in the Game of Thrones. He agrees with her concerning the intensity of things.

“It’s relentless; scenes that would have been a one-day shoot five years ago are now a five-day shoot.

"They want to get it right, they want to shoot everything every single way so they have options.”
