Lobi Stars face Enugu Rangers in NFF Super Cup

Nigeria's two champions in the league and cup competition are set to battle in the NFF Super Cup.

Lobi Stars of Markurdi will take on Enugu Rangers in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Super Cup on Tuesday, November 20.

Lobi Stars are reigning champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after the season was concluded hastily without completion of the required games.

The game between Lobi Stars and Enugu Rangers is the customary league opener between the two champions of Nigerian football.

Enugu Rangers miraculously came from behind to  beat Kano Pillars 4-2 on penalties and were crowned 2018 Aiteo Cup champions.

The two sides are now set to battle it out at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba after the Super Eagles of Nigeria take on the Cranes of Uganda in an international friendly.

The game between Lobi Stars and Enugu Rangers will hold at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Kick off 7pm Nigerian time.

Continental engagements

The game was organised as the two teams will represent Nigeria on the continent in the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League.

Flying Antelopes Enugu Rangers face Ethiopian side FC Defence while Lobi stars take on Cameroonian side UMS de Loum in the opening qualification round on Wednesday, November 28.
