Burna Boy gets BRIT Award nomination

The show will be held on February 18, 2020.

On January 11, 2020, Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy was nominated for Best International Male artist at the BRIT Awards 2020.

He was nominated alongside Americans, Bruce Springsteen, Dermot Kennedy, Tyler The Creator and Post Malone. This also comes after the Grammy nomination that Burna Boy received form his critically-acclaimed album, African Giant.

The BRIT Awards 2020 will be the 40th edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards. When the award holds on February 18, 2020, Jack Whitehall will host it for the third year running. Nominations are led by British rapper of Nigerian descent, Dave and singer, Lewis Capaldi.

In 2019, Burna Boy had some major collaborations with British artists like Dave, Mahalia, Jorja Smith (twice), Wretch 32 and Stormzy. Those songs also charted within the top 10 of the Official UK Singles chart. 'Own It,' his collaboration with Stormzy and Ed Sheeran his No. 1.
