BBNaija'sTacha speaks up against Twitter ban in Nigeria
The reality TV star says the fundamental human rights of Nigerians are being abused.
Former housemate of the reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, Tacha has joined several Nigerians to speak up against the recent ban of Twitter in the Country.
The reality TV star shared her fears and frustrations via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, June 6, 2021.
"I really laugh at the people who think it's just a Twitter them problem 'ah nor be our wahala after all Instagram and Facebook is still loading.' You guys don't get the bigger picture. The bigger picture is getting the whole Internet controlled," she said.
"The bigger picture is you not being able to speak, the bigger picture is you not being able to express yourself as a citizen of this country, you people don't understand the gravity. You guys do not get how bad this is...if I'll ever leave Istanbul I don't know because if some people do not understand how serious this is."
It would be recalled that the federal government suspended the social media platform on Friday, June 4.
According to the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, Twitter's actions are capable of undermining Nigeria's corporate existence.
