The Edo-born superstar started music professionally in 2007 as a member of a group called Soul Lifter before embarking on a solo career years later when the group split following the demise of a member. His debut single, REFORMAT, which was released in 2011, became an instant success after it went viral. He sold over 50 thousand copies of the record, even without an official album jacket. The song was written, produced, mixed, and mastered solely by him.

His next release, LAHOR, is a remix of the popular classic JOR by Jahbless, which till date remains a classic in the South South region and Nigeria as a whole. One Touch introduced rap in the Bini dialect and instantly became a darling of the South South people and a musical pride of his hometown, Benin City. According to the music prodigy, his mission is to consciously portray and showcase the richness of the culture of the South South region of Nigeria.

One Touch symbolizes originality, genuineness, and swiftness in creating great and timeless classics while staying true to his roots. He makes a sweet blend and fusion of hip hop and afrobeats to create his genre of music, which he describes as “conscious, real, and direct." His music is greatly influenced by the likes of Bob Marley, Kanye West, Banky W, Tiwa Savage and Kendrick Lamar amongst other global superstars.

With several hits and a mixtape in his discography, One Touch continues to make indelible marks on the sands of creativity and stops at nothing to fully express himself. He has been nominated for and won several awards, which include “Best Hip Hop Artist in the South-South” in 2015. He has collaborated with renowned acts like Sarkodie, Ya Pono, Erigga, Goya Menor, Magnito, and Oga Network, to name a few.

As he gears up for the release of the audio and visuals of London Boy, his next record which features his son Egerton Jay, One Touch seems himself in a competition with no one as all he wants to do is make timeless music .

Music means different things to different people; for some, it's an entrance into a deeper world; for others, it's a stimulant that amplifies various emotions; but for the multi-talented One Touch, music is his essence and entire existence, and he intends to live the life unhinged and unhindered, as a life without music is boring.
