When someone close to a celebrity dies, the news of that death spreads like fire which also depends largely on how close that loved one was with the celeb. We take a look at some celebrities who have lost loved ones.
1. Olamide
Olamide is the doubles as an old and the newest member on this list. Sadly, Olamide announced the passing away of his mother on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, same day he celebrated the birthday of his son. Olamide had in 2015 lost his father to the cold hands of death.
2. Eucharia Anunobi
Eucharia Anunobi lost her only son Raymond Ekwu on August 22, 2017. Raymond who was 15 died as a result of the sickle cell anaemia. Raymond Ekwu was a product of the marriage between her and ex-husband, Charles Ekwu.
3. Ufuoma Mcdermott
Back in 2017, Ufuoma Mcdermott announced the death of her younger brother, Uvie Eseoghene Ejenobor. According to the actress, Uvie died as a result of a kidney-related ailment. Ufuoma who couldn't hide her emotions wrote a very heartfelt tribute to her late brother via her Instagram page.

4. John Okafor (Mr Ibu)
Just like his colleague Eucharia Anunobi, John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu lost his son in 2012. John Okafor's son, Emmanuel Mandela Okafor died at the age of two and his father blamed the authorities of the hospital where his son was admitted for not reportedly doing enough to save him.
5. Yemi Alade
Music star, Yemi Alade lost her father on January 16, 2015. Her father, Mr J.A Alade was a retired commissioner of police before his demise. Yemi Alade's father's death came at a time when her career was at its peak and she was beginning to gain international recognition.
6. Dr Sid
In the case of Dr Sid, his father Justice Esiri wasn't just the father of a music star was also a star on his own. The death of Justice Esiri was a big loss to the Nollywood industry. He died in 2013 at the age of 71 after a brief illness.
7. Kiss Daniel
Kiss Daniel might be the youngest celebrity on this list to have lost a loved one. In 2015, Kiss Daniel lost his father, Mr Anidugbe a few days after his 21st birthday. Kiss Daniel who had always talked about how supportive his father has been towards his music career took to his Instagram account to officially announce the passing away of his father with a blurry picture captioned, ''R.I.P Dad.''
