Celestine Babayaro: Ex-Nigerian left back set to play for Chelsea again

Ex Nigerian left back Celestine Babayaro is set to play for English Premier League Outfit Chelsea again in an Exhibition game.Inter Milan
The current Premier Champions league holders announced on their official website that the 1998 Cup Winners’ Cup team will play a Legends game against.
Speaking to the Chelsea website, former blues winger Graeme Le Saux who spoke to Chelsea about the initiative revealed the money raised from the encounter will go to helping past players.
“All the money we are raising from the game will go to the Foundation and the Past Players’ Trust, and hopefully it is something we can use as a base to build on for future games.” Le Saux said
Ex-players expected to grace the occasion include, Gianfranco Zola, Dennis Wise and Gianluca Vialli for Chelsea while Youri Djorkaeff, Francesco Toldo and Javier Zanetti are to represent Milan.
Babayaro was part of the all-conquering Chelsea team that won the Cup winners Cup and League Cup even though he missed the finals through injury.
The Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games gold winning medalist was however part of the Chelsea team that defeated European champions Real Madrid to win the Super Cup.
Babayaro was signed from Anderlecht for £2.25 million in 1997, he went on to make 132 appearances and contributed a total of five goals before his transfer to Newcastle United.
The game between the Legends of Chelsea and Inter Milan will take place at Stamford Bridge on Friday, May 18 at 8:45pm Nigerian time
