Kelechi Iheanacho wants Leicester City to shock Chelsea and progress to the next round of the FA Cup
Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is eyeing a shock when they face Chelsea in an FA Cup quarter-final clash.
Iheanacho who scored his first Premier League goal for Leicester in in their 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, March 10 assured his readiness for the match.
Iheanacho said his team is aware of the threat the current Premier League holders pose, however they have what it takes to progress to the next round.
He said, “We’re back to winning ways now, We just have to keep winning, keep strong and keep working hard to make sure we stick to those wins," Iheanacho told Leicester City website.
Iheanacho who has a total of five goals for Leicester revealed that his side are working hard to get ready for them
“We’re looking forward to playing against Chelsea. They’re a good side, a strong side. We’ll just keep working hard in training and we’ll be ready for them,” he continued.
He revealed that after recent draws it was good to get back to winning ways, “We’ve had a hard time getting some draws. This win will give us a boost for the next game against Chelsea.”
The 21-year-old who is Nigeria’s all time highest goal scorer in the FA Cup and will hope to add to his goals when Leicester City welcome Chelsea to the King Power stadium on Sunday, March 18.
