Atletico Madrid are reportedly ready to spend €120 million to sign Argentine Paulo Dybala as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann.

Dybala who has been in good form for Juventus in the Italian Serie A is said to be the preferred choice of Diego Simeone to replace the departing Griezmann.

According to a report on the Daily Mail, Atletico Madrid are willing to double the amount they paid for their record signing Diego Costa in order to bring Dybala to the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.

Dybala is not with Messi and his teammates as they prepare for friendlies against Italy and Spain

The report states that Dybala and Simeone were spotted having dinner in the same restaurant, and that the two of them had a lengthy discussion.

Contrary to an earlier report that Juventus were interested in signing of Anthony Martial to partner Dybala, the Argentine could leave before the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

If Atletico Madrid were to pull off the deal for Dybala it will be their most expensive transfer in the the clubs history surpassing the transfer for Radamel Falcao and Costa.

The report also states that Dybala is interested in the switch to Atletico as he wants to work with compatriot Simeone who he feels can make him a better player.

Dybala was instrumental for Juventus as they knocked out Tottenham from the Champions League and is seen as a player with the potential to replace the Griezmann.

With Atletico resigned to losing Frenchman the club holding out for €100m which is his buy-out clause but may be insufficient to bring Dybala to Spain especially as Real Sociedad are entitled to €20m.
