Nigerians Players Abroad: Lucky Omeruo, Imoh Ezekiel sign for new clubs

Nigerian players Lucky Omeruo and Imoh Ezekiel switched their club sides across Europe.

Nigerian players abroad Lucky Omeruo and Imoh Ezekiel have signed for new clubs FK Palanga and KV Kortjik.

Lucky Omeruo joins FK Palanga

Lucky Omeruo has joined Lithuanian side FK Palanga after he finally signed following series of negotiations.

The 22-year-old previously played for Maltese side Birkirkara F.C from 2011 till 2013 and Pembroke Athleta F.C from 2014 till 2015.

He thanked his brother Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo in a message on his official Instagram account.

The message said, ''Officially I’m back! Grateful to God for making this possible, and a big thank you to @akorede_1 and @fkpalanga for giving me this opportunity to get back on the pitch again after a much-needed break, a shout-out to @omeruo my blood who has always supported and encouraged me, may God bless you, bro!.

“Now I’m back, no limits, we push all the way back to the top, we are the Palangos!          @ Palanga.''

 

Imoh Ezekiel joins KV Kortjik

Nigerian forward Imoh Ezekiel has also completed a move to Belgian outfit KV Kortjik.

The deal was confirmed according to the chairman of the club Joseph Allijns in a report by Score Nigeria.

 

He said, “He has signed his contract and his work permit is in order, but we are still waiting for his visa.

“Imoh is currently in Nigeria and still hoping to get his visa, but I do not think he will be able to play against Anderlecht on Saturday.”

The Olympic bronze medallist previously played for Standard Liege and Anderlecht in Belgium and was last signed to Spanish La Liga side Las Palmas.
