1. "New Money"
19.6% of Pulse Nigeria readers chose Tope Oshin's "New Money" as their favourite movie of 2018, so far.
Set in Lagos, Nigeria, with a star-studded cast that includes Dakore Akande, Kate Henshaw, Jemima Osunde and Jemima Osunde, "New Money" follows the life of Toun Odumosu, a young aspiring designer whose life changes following the death of an absentee tycoon father, who left her to fill his shoes.
The drama follows her coming to terms with her newfound riches as she tries to successfully merge her newfound wealth with her old life.
2. "Mummy Dearest: The Wedding"
8.2% of our readers enjoyed watching the Willis Ikedum film, a sequel to the 2015 film of same title.
In "Mummy Dearest: The Wedding," Chijioke Chinda decides to propose to his girlfriend, Boma Koko. After that move, Boma begins to assume the position of a prospective wife which does not sit well with Chijioke’s mum, Rose Chinda.
Hence, attention tussle ensues between the ladies and culminates with Chijioke and Boma’s big wedding.
3. "Sergeant Tutu"
8.2% of our readers also enjoyed watching the Daniel Ehimen comedy film.
In the movie, Sergeant Tutu gets to hear about a crime when victims of the purported crime come reporting to the station. He sees this as an opportunity and decides to investigate the crime with the help of his superior and crooked boss Inspector Sam.
4. "Getting Over Him"
6.2% of our readers had fun watching the Desmond Elliot movie about a young lady, who is trying to get over her cheating ex boyfriend, Taye.

5. Esohe
In "Esohe," the reincarnation and reunion of Ifagbai, the son of Eghosa the Oba’s warrior, his long-lost lover, Esohe, presents a puzzle to Gary Barbar (Jimmy Jean Louis). He suffers repeated nightmare and sees apparitions of events he knows nothing about.
6. The Royal Hibiscus Hotel
In "Royal Hibiscus Hotel," a disillusioned London chef visits Nigeria and struggles with dealing with her matchmaking mother and restoring the family's rundown hotel.
She's heartbroken when she discovers the man she loves is buying the hotel.
The movie stars Zainab Balogun, Deyemi Okanlawon, Kenneth Okolie, Akah Nnani, Kemi Lala Akindoju among others.
7. Date Night
In "Date Night," a man is held hostage by a woman he brings home for the night, and an intense struggle for survival follows.
The Daniel Oriahi movie stars Deyemi Okanlawon, Adesua Etomi and Ogechi Peters.
8. Alexandra
A tale of love, passion and revenge, "Alexandra" tells the story of a young Nigerian woman, who meets and falls in love with an American online.
When she moves to the United States of America to live with her spouse, her nightmare begins.
