Ronaldomania: Thousands welcome Ronaldo on his CR7 tour in China
The Chinese people were out in full force to witness the Ronaldo at the CR7 tour.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the centre of attention as a massive crowd of over thousands turned out to see the superstar in his first day of the Nike 'CR7 tour'.
Ronaldo who recently completed a transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus travelled to China for his annual tour in association with Nike who provided a private jet for his travel.
On arrival in China, Ronaldo was given a hero’s welcome as the crowd were pleased with the moves and skills he showcased with the ball.
The 33-year-old took to this official Instagram account to express his satisfaction with the tour as he posted a message which said, "Excited to be back in China! Ready to inspire the future of football."
The reigning World Player of the Year still has a very strong fan base despite his £88 million move away from Real Madrid.
He showcased his skills at the monumental Lama Temple much to the delight of the crowd as they presented him with merchandise for him to sign and endorse.
Some pundits believe that he is in the twilight of his career as a professional footballer but Ronaldo recently finished top scorer in the UEFA Champions League last season.
After winning the league, domestic cups, Champions League and Ballon d'Or in both England and Spain, Ronaldo has set his sights on matching the same achievements in Italy.
Following his participation with Portugal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Ronaldo is on an extended break and should join up with his new Juventus teammates for their preseason games immediately his CR7 tour is completed.
