Ola Aina: Derby manager Lampard wants Super Eagles fullback

Nigerian defender Ola Aina is poised to make another temporary move away from Chelsea.

Super Eagles fullback Ola Aina is wanted by Derby manager Frank Lampard on loan for the rest of the season.

Aina spent last season on-loan at Championship side Hull City and is poised to make another temporary move away from Chelsea.

According to Daily Mail, the 21-year-old defender is attracting interest from West Brom but Lampard hopes that his ties with Chelsea can help him get the Nigeria international.

 

Lampard has already gotten Mason Mount, Aina’s teammates at Chelsea and the former midfielder is hoping he can also bring the Super Eagles to Derby.

Aina has been at Chelsea since he was a school-aged child and has made six competitive games for the senior side.

He gained valuable experience in the Championship last season with Hull City, making 44 appearances in his first season away from Chelsea.

Aina was with the Chelsea first team for their pre-season tour of Australia.
