The Real Madrid star received was announced as the Champions League defender of the Season and he was said to have tapped Salah on his shoulder while returning to his seat.
With the final still goalless, Ramos and Salah locked arms as they both fell to the floor but while the Real Madrid defender came out unscathed, the Liverpool forward sustained an arm injury.
Salah continued playing after he received treatment but was substituted some minutes later, a change that had a huge effect of the game.
The momentum swung to Real Madrid shortly after Salah’s substitution and they went on to win the final 3-1 to lift a third straight Champions League title.
The injury affected Salah at the 2018 FIFA World Cup as the forward missed Egypt’s first game of the game of the tournament.
