Victor Moses has lost his second consecutive Community Shield title at Chelsea.

Super Eagles forward Victor Moses lost his second Community Shield title as Manchester City beat Chelsea 2-0 on Sunday, August 5.

Moses recently joined up with his Chelsea teammates was after his participation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Chelsea wing-back played all come on as substitute as Chelsea lost 2-0 to Manchester City in the final of the 2018 Community Shield.

The Community Shield is the traditional season opener between Premier League winners Manchester City against FA Cup winners Chelsea.

Moses was named among the substitutes by new Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri who handed a starting berth to 17-year-old forward Callum Hudson Odoi.

Pep Guardiola's side were out of the blocks quickly as they moved the ball faster and sharper than Chelsea.

Manchester City took the lead when Phil Foden cushioned the ball to Sergio Aguero to convert in the 13th minute.

The game ended 1-0 at halftime but City captilized on a defensive mix up as Bernardo Silva played the ball to Sergio Aguero to score his second of the game.

Moses was brought in for Pedro Rodriguez in the 79th minute but could do nothing to change the scoreline which ended 2-0 in favour of Manchester City.

The result meant that Victor Moses and his Chelsea teammates have now lost back to back Community Shield titles.

The Blues lost on penalties in last year's edition when they were the reigning Premier League champions under Antonio Conte.

Victor Moses and his Chelsea teammates begin their Premier League campaign against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, August 11, while Manchester City begin their title defense against Arsenal on Sunday, August 12.
