Owen Gee: Comedian talks new movie "200 Million," featuring Mercy Aigbe, Frank Donga

Owen Gee plays a character whose quest for a comfortable motivated interest in fetish dealings.

The comedian, who recently shared his battle with depression, is set to release his new movie "200 Million" this March.

Nigerian comedian Owen Gee is set to release his new movie, "200 Million", featuring Mercy Aigbe.

He confirmed this in a chat with Pulse Nigeria at the launch of a suicide prevention initiative, Live and Not Die (L.A.N.D), on Sunday, February 25, 2018.

According to him, "200 Million" will debut in cinemas on March 30, 2018.

 

"200 Million" portrays the challenging lives of two disenfranchised men who explored crime as a remedy to issues limiting them from enjoying comfort.

A chain of paranormal events soon occurred leaving an indelible mark on their entire existence.

"After a successful run in the comedy industry with bold achievements in all facets of the Nigerian comedy scene, it is time for me to break into the hilarious community of comic movie production with my debut attempt called "200 Million," Owen Gee told Pulse.

The movie features the comedian alongside Frank Donga, Woli Arole, Chigul, Basorge Tahir, Alibaba, Mercy Aigbe, Samuel Ajibola, Saka and Yaw.

Owen Gee energized after overcoming depression and suicide

At the Live and Not Die (L.A.N.D) launch,  Owen Gee shared past experiences which led him to depression.

Just like characters in the upcoming movie, "200 Million", Owen Gee has dealt with issues relating to suicide, which he eventually defeated.

He revealed that he had often relied on sleep medication in a bid to escape pressures hindering peace of mind.

At the event, the comedian shared his informed knowledge, using humour. His intelligent views were inspired by an encounter with his son, which prevented him from committing suicide.

"200 Million" is directed by August Udoh.
